Three types of people at Skate Parks

Three types of people at Skate Parks:

If you go to skate parks, then you will probably recognize these people.

The scary shirtless guy:

  • We all know that one guy who shows up to the skate park with nothing but, baggy pants, a skateboard and a pair of headphones. This guy is madly good at skateboard, and rarely messes up, but when he does, he is oddly calm about it. This guy is not afraid to do anything, and he will do it in the coldest and or hottest weather.

The pre-teen with a scooter:

  • This is the one kid who is always trying to show off his cool tricks to his friends and his mom when she comes to pick him or her up. Here's the thing, I love scooters but why can't these kids use there eyes and just watch out. They have handle bars meanwhile skateboards don't. Anyways I will leave it at that because I don't want to sound like a am beating up on scooters.

That little kid who is better than everyone:

  • I know this one 9 year old who is the best at everything in skating. I swear I have never ever seen him mess up. Anyways you can go to any big skate park and I will guarantee you that a little kid will be there and he or she will be doing kick flips as they launch out of the bowl. Ive always wondered how they get so good, but I think he reason is because they are light and have no fear at all.

  • Anyways I will make another post like this again, with more people.

Where do I skate?

Where do I skate?

  • I'm just going to start off by saying that these skate parks may not be the best, meanwhile some will be good so don't expect them to be amazing if you try it out :p

Seattle Center Skate Park:

  • This is the place that I go skateboarding at the most. It for sure is not the best skate park. This skate board was definitely designed by people who do not skate park. This skate park is very flowy as many people like to say, and is really difficult to skate in when lots of people are there. The skate park has a rails, one half pipes that are put in odd locations. The skate park also has a set of large stairs that have individual steps that are 3 feet tall! It's is fun seeing people olley it. The skate park has a pyramid in the middle, it's not actually shaped like a pyramid but it gets the job done! I personally love bowl skating, but this park does not have a bowl, although there are many features that are like a bowl so people can still practise. One of the greatest things about this skate park is that it is located in Seattle Center which gives access to the space needle, restaurants, and is close to downtown Seattle.

Green Lake Skate park:

  • I also go to this skate park on a regular basis! This is a very nice skate park that is very well designed. This Skate park has two big bowls with a little one for beginners and to try out different types of tricks! This park has two half pipes, it has sets of stairs, and it has a block for board sliding and grinding. This picture does not do this park justice, but I have to say that this is one of the best parks I have ever been at.

Delridge Skate park:

  • I have only been to this park a few times, but of those times I have gone, I have very much enjoyed myself.  This park is very similar to green lake in that it has two bowls, half pipes, etc. This park is very good for beginners and for advanced, it is very easy to skate in when busy. I also recommend this skate park for anyone wanting to check out new places.

Anyways, these are just a few of the skate parks that I enjoy going to in Seattle. I will be doing skate park reviews in a later post going more in depth about skate parks around Seattle!
